What a spring /summer. I have yet to go out on the water, and for that matter still have all 6 classic boats in there hibernation state. Man are they going to be pissed off when I wake them up and they realize they have missed half the summer. I suppose I should be happy that I am busy at work, or for that matter have any work. We are about a third busier for the same income as last year, and from what I can tell so are most businesses. To add to the craziness, we are moving to a different house this Friday and my son is graduating from high school on wed with all sorts of Kin folk here……. OK so what does this all have to do with the ACBS? This Friday is the big quarterly meeting for the ACBS… one hr from my front door. I can smell them from here. The event is taking place at the St Michaels boat show this weekend. I have had several conversations with several ACBS board members and am dying to go. These guys are a fun group in person and it’s a great opportunity to get to know them better… Or at least give them the opportunity to actually get a good swing at me. So the deal is I can’t be two places at the same time. And no matter what I do, I look like I am a chicken here. Why don’t I want to be there? Is moving just an excuse? Am I only bold and brave behind my key board like some sort of fat blogger that spews crap, but in person runs for the hills??? Or am I scared of my wife and the wrath of her if I disappear in the middle of the move… I think we all know the answer to this. So , look forward to photos shot on Saturday….

Sounds all too familiar, Matt. Tavares, FL was "The Place to be" last March but where was I? Cooped up in an RV Resort on the Gulf Coast counting sea gulls and dolphins, pampering my wife and grand-daughter while everyone else was counting woody boats and boaters in Central Florida. Believe me, I know the feeling all too well. Dang!!!
