” Send everything you got” The Call went out to all the volunteers in the Northern Neck area….. Through heroic efforts by firemen from all around, buildings and boats were saved. Water needed to be pumped from the creek to keep it flowing. A huge explosion could be heard for miles. The fire took roughly 4 hours to control. From 3pm to 7:30pm.
