Are you experiencing slow loading on the site? The issue may be a new feature we have added and are testing.. Reader Rated Links. This has never been tried before with links. there are stories and web sites that rate things, But on links? So we had to customize it. We are trying to bring something new to the hobby, a way for people to see what others think of these stores and sites. We dont have much control over it, only that we can delete the feature if it gets out of hand. Or just is off. Try it out and see if its a good thing and worth a slower loading time. Or kill it.. We are going to be trying several new ideas over the next month. Your feedback is critical, please chime.. chine in. Matt

Matt, I am on a macbook pro with 24mbps up and 5mbps down internet speed. When I click on WB it comes up instantly, however, when I click on this story it takes 14 seconds to load. Long time!

I think the Century-related links are screwing things up.

Initial site loads fine but when you click on a story, slow. I would kill everything but a link for the Donzi girl as I’m not allowed her as a screen saver. Actually give everyone a couple of days, if we liked change would we still own boats with this kind of upkeep?
Forget it, kill it! It took a looooooooooooooooooong time just for this comment. My younger days are behind me, I need to make the most of my time……….. what am I even doing here right now……..bye.
I keep trying to improve things and it always seems to break the flow.. Ugh.. Live and learn.. Does anyone like the feature if I could correct the loading time?

Taking way to long to load. Good idea I would think it would be better if the loading time was back to the normal speed.
Thats my feeling, the idea is way overdue for the hobby, but its a little harsh for me..

Not to be a downer, but the increased load time is not worth the rating things on the side here – which I can see easily offending a business or group listed. ie – why do I only have two flags whereas someone else has four and a half??? Mere clicking on a flag to ‘vote’ says really nothing of the services the shop offers or of their reputation. Good try, but I would kill it.
I’m not sure I understand. Where are the votes coming from?

I have started to iliminate the links, and it seems to be loading faster.. So that is the culptit.. Sorry I hade a slow loading site.. As usual, here at Woody Boater you get to watch grass grow and see ideas blossom.. and fail;
