No it’s not the Smith family reunion. But it might as well be. I am sure I am leaving out some other Smith’s but we’re used to it… Smith Mountain Lake is absolutely stunning. The sun is finally coming out, the humidity is almost California like. There are close to 50 boats and a mess of Smith’s. There is a fun group from Lake Hopatcong here and more coming. I love that lake more and more, and I have yet to be there.. Sylvia (Smith, named after my grandmother) is parked right next to Mike and Chris Smith’s ( Not the Chris Smith of Chris Craft fame, he is in Idaho, not that this Chris Smith, Mike Smith’s wife is not worthy of mention. But… oh lord…) Any way, as I was saying, we are parked next to there 20 foot Custom and Roger and Sybil Smith’s Racing runabout, now Roger is from here, so…… For the record, none of the Smith’s are kin to the Smith’s of Smith Mountain Lake. At least right now that is. By the end of the show, after talking about bilge color one to many times, one of us will no doubt start elaborating on there stories… Stay tuned…
