It’s that time of year again for all us Smith’s to get together at Smith Mountain Lake 19th Annual ACBS Antique Classic Boat Show. Friday – Sunday September 18-20. Virginia’s answer to Lake George, Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Hopatcong, Flathead Lake, Lake Tahoe, Clear Lake, Lake Komoniwanalayah… all of them. This is one fun welcoming crowd and the weather is always great this time of year, 70 degrees and no humidity. The setting is fantastic and so are the boats. This is the big show in Virginia. Last year the folks from Lake Hopatcong came down and rocked the house…. OK rock may be a big word here. It’s not like they were trashing the rooms and throwing TV sets out the window… It was a more Classic Boat rock the house type deal… I think someone actually cracked a joke… WoodyBoater will there on Saturday reporting on the show. And telling a joke…..

We will be headed down to the lake tomorrow and will be set up on Friday and Saturday. No real boats this year just the R/C type and two trailers full of fun stuff!Stop by our tent we look forward to seeing you again.

Hey Matt, While you are in NYC – stop by Chris Smith & Sons Boat Company and check out the new 22' Cadet model they have in stock. According to an old copy of Motor Boating Magazine they have a National Sales Office and Show Room located at 393 Seventh Avenue, New York City, New York. Sorry they didn't list a phone number or web site.
