Sounds like a great event! My wife and I are hosting her family reunion that day. She probably wouldn’t mind if I skipped out and went to Virginia, would she? They might not even miss me, would they? Some of them probably don’t know who I am, right? I don’t know who some of them are. I think I will get a plane ticket. One way is probably all I need.

Jim – Based on your description above… My advise would be to lay low and build up some points before Sunnyland in March… Remember that float-up Tavern in the canal? Mmmm

  3. Bob VandeVusse says:

Wish I could be there. Anyone that does go should definitely take a side trip up US 460 as far as Wakefield and hit the Virginia Diner. You will not find better peanuts anywhere in the WORLD!!

  4. Jim Frechette says:

Ok. I am officially point building.

    • WoodyGal says:

You could get an lifesize inflatable “Jim”, sit him in the shop wearing shorts & a T-shirt. Then you would get points & a trip to Mariners! Or better yet, put him In that new tuxedo & stand him, you, by the front door. Her family will be so impressed they won’t care if you don’t talk to them. I have an empty lake house where you can hide out if your inflatable isn’t convincing.

  5. John Rothert says:

peanuts hell…..it’s the HAM man, the HAM, you will have to drink a gallon of water after….but what HAM.
No one has contact me today….? You folks need to get signed up for this neat event.

    John in Va.

  6. Al Benton says:

Hey John, if we go up to see Ryan’s cruiser on Sunday maybe we could stop at the Virginia Diner for some of that HAM you brag about and the Peanuts that Bob speaks of.

Come on folks, sign up and join us. This is a great opportunity to get “UnPlugged” and have fun with (or of) us!!!

  7. Don Nelson says:

I will be working a Holiday Lake Home tour during our first snow event of the season. I look forward to your many pictures and descriptions of the Mariners Museum staff and facilities.
