Looks like I’m going to have to start working out if all the women at the party are that good looking. Hm I have 24 hours to lose 50 lbs, grow more hair and look 30 years younger. We’ll just have to see.
I can do that in photoshop in about 20 minutes.. It just gets a tad awkward when you meet them in person..
Laughing hard! Well done.
But you know, she didn’t seem that enthusiastic when she referred to the Arabian or its 440. It was almost like she was going through the motions, reading a script, or under coercion.
Then again, perhaps she was reflecting on that “first experience with a woody on an Arabian.” Yes, I think that’s it. The lingering disappointment.
And with the boat too.
Alex you crack me up!
I had a 77′ Century Arabian for 15 years. It was fast. It had a 454/330HP mercruiser. I grew up with boats on Lake Tahoe in the 70′s and 80′s. My family had a wood boat which my uncle just sold. The Arabian was a head turner and most people did not know what kind of boat it was. Those were the days.
Well done Mike! Interesting message on whiteboard in the background. No No Ho! ??????
I think it was filmed with a corporate environment in mind, hence the No No Ho emphasis on the top of the party planning whiteboard.
I agree… she was definitely under coercion, or someone slipped a ‘rufie’ in the punch.
Probably the later… her speech was really slurred.
I was virtually wonderful! Very good job!
I wonder how a ’55 0r ’56 21 foot Capri with either the big Cad engine or Hemi would do against that Arabian?
It will look better, sound better and attract more, younger and hotter women. In other words, the Century voters will not be interested in what it has to offer.
I wonder how that 55-56 Capri would do against a ’55-56 Coronado? Better yet, how about against one of rare 21′ Cobra’s…..right side up or upside down….which I heard they had a tendency to do upon occasion!!!!!
Mike, that was really YOU in the Santa outfit, you can’t fool me.
Just think we are going to get all the babes around us at the party and we will be singing, HO HO HO, and “those other boat ” owners will be drowning in punch.
Mike, that was fun. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Does anyone else find themselves trying to imitate the way these virtual characters talk? I!–mean IT’s– not—-normal. (pause), TO!!! talk that WAY!!!. Pause, pause, pause, WHEN!!! answering THE!!! — phone after watching that. My wife asked “what’s wrong with your speech? Is it the medicine? Die you overdose? I answered “NO!!!— dear, I JUST!!!- watched ONE!! —of those — crazy VIRTUAL!!! — videos — and can’t — stop – IT!!!.
I want to take this opportunity to wish all you fellow Woody Boater’s a happy virtual Christmas party tommorow. While you are all enjoying the virtual shrimp cocktails and liquid refreshments……I will be sitting in an all day Tax workshop at the Clarion Airport Hotel Conference Center in Milwaukee. Good cheer and good tidings……….
I see she’s thinking about size. So, Mike, is she saying your larger than the XK, um… with that 440?
No disco ball? Bright lights? Dry erase boards? I thought when I got my first woody I was joining the cool kids. This feels an awful lot like an office party. I guess as long as none of my cool friends see me coming or going….And since Alex will be there I can give it a try.
I’m glad to see you picked the correct date.
We will be having our 12th annual ‘Winter Soltice in Manistee’ party on the 16th. Some 12-20 wooden boat restorers attend, usually at “The Painted Lady” Saloon.
We go for the Broasted Chicken, but hey…, it is a ‘saloon’, after all!
If you virtual party-goers would like to order a drink…,
we could actually drink them for you?
We will also be regaled with Tom Frye’s latest audio; The “Jimmy-Tool”.
Mike, We just Love the Vids! can’t get enough! this is what the Woody exprience is all about, keep it up.
And I thought you were a boat restorer and all the while you were animating the woody experience…
What a sight! what a site, and to all a good nite.
